Products and catalog
Product
Anything you sell — a coffee, a t-shirt, a haircut. A product has a name, a price, and optionally an image and category.
Variant
A version of the same product, such as a t-shirt in size M versus size L. Use variants instead of creating a separate product for each option.
Option
An attribute a product varies by — for example Size or how a drink is served (Hot/Iced) — with a list of values (Size: S, M, L). Combining a product’s options generates its variants: two options with 3 and 2 values make 3 × 2 = 6 variants, each priced and sold on its own.
Category
A group of related products (for example Đồ uống / Beverages). Categories help staff find items quickly and keep reports meaningful.
SKU
Stock Keeping Unit — a unique code that identifies a specific product or variant for sales and inventory.
Barcode
A scannable code printed on a product. Scanning it at the POS adds the item to the order.
Pricing plan
A named set of prices for a product variant. It has a default price plus optional extra prices that apply only when a condition matches — most often a sale channel, so the same item can cost more on a delivery app than in-store. A variant can hold more than one plan, and a new plan stays deactivated until you switch it on. You manage plans from a variant’s Manage Pricing.
Sales and POS
POS
Point of Sale — the BANA Sale app where staff build orders, take payment, and print receipts.
Order
A single sale: the items a customer buys together, plus the payment taken for them.
Receipt
The printed or digital proof of a completed sale.
Payment method
How money is taken for an order — cash, card, or QR.
QR payment
A payment made by the customer scanning a QR code with a banking or e-wallet app.
Split payment
Paying for one order across more than one method (for example part cash, part QR).
Refund
Returning money to a customer for all or part of a completed order.
Inventory
Stock
The quantity of a product you currently hold. Tracked per storage location when stock tracking is on.
Location
A place where stock is held — a shop floor, a back room, or a central warehouse.
Vendor
A supplier you buy stock from.
Purchase order
A request to a vendor to supply stock. Receiving it increases your on-hand stock.
Stock take
A physical count of stock used to correct the recorded quantities.
Transfer
Moving stock from one location to another.
Account and settings
Organization
Your overall business in BANA, created during the Set Up Your Business step when you sign up. An organization can hold one or more stores and is the top level everything else belongs to.
Merchant
A single place you sell from: a shop, a restaurant, or an outlet. Also called a store. BANA creates a default merchant (Headquarter) for you during signup. Products, orders, inventory, and reports all belong to a merchant.
Sale channel
A place where you take orders, such as your in-store POS terminal or a delivery platform. BANA sets up one POS sale channel automatically; each store can have several.
Role
A named set of permissions (for example Cashier or Manager) assigned to a staff member.
Permission
A single capability, such as issuing a refund, that a role can grant or withhold.
RBAC
Role-Based Access Control — controlling what each person can do by assigning them a role.
Payments, tax, and finance
VAT
Value Added Tax — the tax applied to a sale and shown on a compliant invoice.
E-invoice
A legally compliant electronic invoice issued for a sale.
T-VAN
A licensed intermediary that transmits e-invoices to the tax authority on your behalf.
Tax code
Your business’s tax identification number, printed on invoices.
Wallet
A balance that tracks money held in a specific place, such as a cash drawer or bank account.
Income
Money coming into the business, such as daily sales revenue.
Expense
Money going out of the business, such as rent or supplier payments.
