Manage employees and roles

You’ve been open a week, and running the counter alone is wearing thin. Now bring your team onto BANA. Each person gets their own sign-in, and a role decides what they can do — so your cashier rings up sales without seeing your finances, and your manager handles stock without touching settings.

Before you start

• Your store set up and selling — see Set up your store.
• The names, emails, and phone numbers of the staff you’re adding. Cà Phê Sài Gòn is bringing on Hùng Phạm (cashier) and Lan Trần (store manager).

Set up roles

A role is a bundle of permissions you assign to a person, instead of granting access one switch at a time.

Review the built-in roles

Sign in at client.prods1.bana.com.vn, open the Team area, and go to Role. BANA ships with two roles ready to use:

• Cashier — make sales on the POS, without access to finance or settings.
• Employee — a general, low-access starting point.

For Hùng, the built-in Cashier role is exactly right. Lan needs more, so you’ll make a role for her.

Create a role

Select Create. On the Create Role page:

1. In Name, type the role name (Store manager).
2. Leave Status as Activated.
3. In the Policy Definition panel, tick the actions this role can perform — for a manager, the Product, Inventory, and Sale groups, but not Finance or Settings.
4. Select Save in the top bar.

Tip: Build roles around the jobs people do, not around individuals. When someone changes position, you just switch their role instead of editing permissions one by one.

Add your team

Invite an employee

Go to Employee and select Create. On the Create New Employee page, fill in the person’s details:

1. Enter First Name (Hùng) and Last Name (Phạm).
2. Enter their Email and Phone, and pick a Start Date.
3. Choose a Role — Cashier for Hùng.
4. Make sure Grant login access is on so they can sign in, then select Save.

Repeat for each person. Lan Trần gets the Store manager role you just created. Each new employee can now sign in to the dashboard and the BANA Sale app at sale.prods1.bana.com.vn with their own account.

What you created

Your team is on BANA, each with the right level of access:

Verify your team

Open Team → Employee to see everyone you’ve added. Both Hùng Phạm and Lan Trần appear with Activated status and their assigned role — ready to sign in and get to work.
