Add icons to your categories
Pair each category with a realistic icon and color so staff recognize it instantly — on the dashboard and on the POS.
Once your menu is split into categories, a small icon makes each one easy to spot at a glance — and the icon follows the category everywhere, including the POS order screen where your cashier moves between groups. This guide gives Cà Phê Sài Gòn’s menu groups realistic icons.
Before you start
- You’re signed in to the dashboard at client.prods1.bana.com.vn as the owner.
- You already have categories to decorate. If not, start with Organize products with categories.
Add an icon to a category
Open the icon picker
Open Catalog → Categories and open a category — here, Cà phê. In the Name field, a small icon button sits at the start, showing the default tag icon. Select it to open the icon picker.
Pick an icon and color
The picker opens on a set of suggested icons — coffee, tea, food, and more. Select the coffee cup for Cà phê. Looking for something specific? Type in the Search icon field, or choose Show all icons to browse the full library. Then open the color swatch next to the search box and pick a shade — Amber suits coffee. The live preview updates as you go, showing exactly how the category will look — including on the POS. Your choices apply as soon as you make them; select Save to keep them.
Tip: The icon and the color work together — pair them and each category reads in an instant. A hot-cup icon in green says matcha; a beer mug in gold marks a beer menu at a glance. Choose a color that matches what the group sells.
Decorate the rest of your categories
Do the same for every group, choosing an icon that fits at a glance — a soda cup for Trà sữa, a sandwich for Bánh mì, a croissant for Bánh ngọt, a cookie for Đồ ăn nhẹ, and a gift for Ưu đãi. Back in the category list, each category now carries its own icon.

Open the order screen in BANA Sale
Open BANA Sale at sale.prods1.bana.com.vn. The category tabs across the top of the order screen now show your icons, so your cashier moves between Cà phê, Bánh mì, and the rest by sight instead of reading every label — quicker service, fewer mis-taps.
What changed
Every menu group now reads at a glance from its icon-and-color pairing, on the dashboard and the POS:
| Category | Icon | Color |
|---|---|---|
| Cà phê | Coffee cup | Amber |
| Trà sữa | Soda cup | Green |
| Bánh mì | Sandwich | Orange |
| Bánh ngọt | Croissant | Rose |
| Đồ ăn nhẹ | Cookie | Purple |
| Ưu đãi | Gift | Blue |

Frequently asked questions
Where do category icons show up?
On the category badge in the dashboard and on the category tabs of the POS order screen. The same icon and color follow the category everywhere it appears.
Can I use any icon, or only the suggested ones?
The picker opens on a curated set of food, drink, and shopping icons, but you can search the full icon library or choose Show all icons to browse everything.
Do I have to set an icon for every category?
No. A category without one falls back to a default tag icon, so nothing breaks. Icons are a quick way to make busy menus easier to scan, so they pay off most when you have several categories.
